In addition to its four divisions, Rental Properties, Health Care, Education and Investments, New Dawn operates a number of programs in the community. These include: Ideas Powered by Passion, The New Dawn Foundation, Sydney and Area Meals on Wheels, Cold-Climate Greenhouse, and SHIMI: Supportive Housing for Individuals with Mental Illness
New Dawn President, Rankin MacSween, presents a cheque from New Dawn for $10,000 at the Cape Breton Cares Radioathon

New Dawn President, Rankin MacSween, presents a cheque for $15,000 to Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation CEO, Barbara Stead-Coyle, and District CEO, John Malcom.

Rankin MacSween, President of New Dawn Enterprises, presents Darlene McEachern, Executive Director of the Elizabeth Fry Society of Cape Breton, with a rent subsidy of $5000.

Photos of the four New Dawn teams registered to play in Schwartz’s 9th annual Golf for Dad Tournament (2011) in support of prostate cancer awareness and research. The tournament raised over $15,000, all of which went to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation to purchase two SBRT Patient Mobilization Units for the Cape Breton Cancer Centre. These units will keep people home from Halifax for radiation treatments associated with prostate cancer.
