New Dawn Homecare is designed to provide care for clients which is normally undertaken by the family. But, in many cases there are no family members capable of providing on-going care.
Every individual has separate needs. Our expertly trained and certified staff can offer you a comprehensive home care program. Our home care workers are able to give each and every person the understanding and attention they deserve. Our staff is mindful of all the requirements of contented home care.
Our trained staff can assist in all aspects of home care. Our friendly CCA’s, LPN’s, and RN’s are here to please you.

From The Manager’s Desk:
New Dawn Homecare is a division of New Dawn Enterprises Limited. It began as a co-operative project in 1988. Incorporated in 1996, New Dawn Homecare is proud to provide quality in-home hospital care to individuals in the industrial areas of Cape Breton. I have been employed with New Dawn Homecare since July 1989, I consider myself a loyal, dedicated individual with great integrity.
Forty five percent of New Dawn Homecare employees are between the ages of 49 and 70. Mature caregivers are gems. They are dependable, loyal, dedicated and are good listeners. They are excellent cooks and good housekeepers. (“Oh, home made apple pie and tea biscuits, they taste some awesome!”). New Dawn Homecare also provides a foot care division, with a number of clinics, home visit, hospital visits, etc, to which Sr. Clarine O’Leary (RN) brings with her years of experience.
Our younger Caregivers bring forth their professionalism, knowledge, loyalty, dedication and go above and beyond the call of duty. the sky is the limit. New Dawn Homecare employs four full time office workers. John MacKay, accountant office, Eve Fudge, New Dawn Homecare payroll, Nancy MacNeil providing schedules for the staff, times slips etc.
