Built in 1901 this historic building, has been the centre of downtown Sydney for over one hundred years. New Dawn Enterprises in partnership with Chessman Investments Ltd. (Musicstop) salvaged the historic property from imminent demolition and redeveloped the site into a viable commercial
enterprise. In 2005, Crowell’s Reality Ltd. became the home
of 8 independent commercial businesses which now employs
over 45 people.
New Dawn’s varied projects provide employment, strengthens communities and increase prosperity in the region
New Dawn continues to challenge people of all backgrounds and generations to identify and bring together hidden assets.
The cumalitive economic impact of New Dawn business over the years is estimated to be in excess of $150 million.

New Dawn Enterprises Limited, incorporated in 1976, is the oldest Community Development Corporation in Canada and is a Founding Member of the Canadian CED (Community Economic Development) Network. It is a private, volunteer directed, organization dedicated to community building. New Dawn seeks to identify community needs and to establish and operate ventures that speak to those needs.
