Incorporated over 50 years ago, this family business has always been a fixture in the business community of Sydney. In 2001 the current family members who owned the company decided it was time to sell. In May 2001 they sold one of their two remaining buildings which left them with the original building at 106 Townsend Street.

Despite very strong emotional ties to the building, the remaining shareholders, all members of the David Family decided to sell their company shares to Pine tree Park Estates Ltd., which is owned by New Dawn Enterprises Ltd.

Pine Tree Park continues to operate David Realties. The building at 106 Townsend Street is now fully rented to commercial tenants, and it is our hope to perpetuate the David Family name for many years to come.

About New Dawn

New Dawn Enterprises Limited, incorporated in 1976, is the oldest Community Development Corporation in Canada and is a Founding Member of the Canadian CED (Community Economic Development) Network. It is a private, volunteer directed, organization dedicated to community building. New Dawn seeks to identify community needs and to establish and operate ventures that speak to those needs.
