Welding

New Dawn College is committed to providing first-rate quality training to all students. The welding facility has state-of-the-art Miller XMT 304 machines capable of operating with any welding process. Instructors are fully qualified and dedicated to the student’s successful completion of the program. The school operates year round offering programs from Basic Welding (full time) to High Pressure Pipe Welding. Students are given the opportunity to work in an industrial environment as part of their training, and every effort is made by student services to help students obtain full time employment.

Basic Welding Program:

The Basic Welding Certificate Program is designed to prepare students to enter the workforce with the necessary skills to be a productive and successful welder. The program combines classroom theory, practical shop training, and a variety of work experience and education activities.

High Pressure Pipe Welding Program:

The High Pressure Pipe Welding Certificate Program prepares welders for the demands of industry in high quality X-ray work as required by the A.S.M.E. section 1X of the boiler pressure code.

New Dawn Enterprises Limited, incorporated in 1976, is the oldest Community Development Corporation in Canada and is a Founding Member of the Canadian CED (Community Economic Development) Network. It is a private, volunteer directed, organization dedicated to community building. New Dawn seeks to identify community needs and to establish and operate ventures that speak to those needs.
