IDEAS: Powered by Passion (2010–2017) was a monthly speaker series featuring a speaker from a community organization, a singer-songwriter (or small group of musicians), and a keynote. Collectively, the stories shared on the IDEAS stage over its seven years contributed to the unearthing of a shared, creative, and courageous Cape Breton narrative.
Spaces like these are invaluable to the processes of community conversation, development, and visioning. They begin to allow us to see that leaders, agents of community change, and inspired lives are all around us every day.
The vibrant stories shared at IDEAS — and in the hours, days, and weeks afterwards — are stories of individuals, organizations, and communities who are forging their own paths, solving entrenched community problems, encountering unprecedented success, and inspiring the rest of us to do the same.
IDEAS Powered by Passion events are free and open to the public.
