The Fair is hosted by New Dawn Meals on Wheels and is supported in part by United Way of Cape Breton. Members of the community seeking meaningful and worthwhile volunteer opportunities will be introduced to local community groups such as Meals on Wheels, Lumière, St. John Ambulance, and others.

“Meals on Wheels thrives and excels because of the lifeblood and dedication of our volunteers,” says Claire Turpin, Manager, New Dawn Meals on Wheels. “There are many other impactful organizations in our community just like us, that only rely on an hour or two, here and there, from people who have an hour or two to give.”

“We partnered with United Way of Cape Breton to provide space to match local organizations with dedicated volunteers to ensure that members in our community, especially seniors, remain active and contribute to community-based programming,” says Turpin.

The Fair will feature special presentations throughout the afternoon as well as snacks and refreshments catered by A Better Bite Community Kitchen.
