Anchor Youth Space in Sydney, NS is seeking volunteers to design and lead recreation programs for youth aged 12-25 and their caregivers. This is a chance to use your creativity and interests to deliver engaging activities for youth. Interested individuals must attend a general orientation session to learn more about the opportunity and the proposal process before submitting ideas.
This training session will provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to safely and effectively deliver New Dawn Meals on Wheels. Volunteering can take as little as 90 minutes a week and makes a huge difference in the lives of seniors and others who struggle with nutrition and social isolation.
Join the New Dawn volunteer group to grow food and flowers, work outdoors, and connect with others in activities like planting garden beds, repairing the community pantry, and expanding garden space. Open to New Dawn staff, volunteers, CBCI Language Lab students, and invited community members, we offer monthly work times and meetings, with a focus on social connection and sharing skills.
Our Safe Spaces policy ensures a respectful, supportive atmosphere for everyone. We pledge to listen, learn, and adapt to your needs, because your well-being is our priority. Together, we will create a safer, compassionate community for all.
