AUDIO: CBICI manager Nadine Paruch in conversation with CBC Radio's Steve Sutherland
For the past year, the Cape Breton Island Centre for Immigration (CBICI) has been hosting a bi-monthly Supper Club for the families of internationally trained health care workers to try to ensure they’ll stay in the community.
“Food is a universal language so it’s a great way to bring people together,” said CBICI manager Nadine Paruch.
She spoke with CBC Radio’s Information Morning Cape Breton host Steve Sutherland about the initiative and its community impact.
