New Dawn recognized with 2025 NS Works Employer Inclusion Award

Awards celebrate businesses that lead the way in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Accessibility.

New Dawn is honoured to be the recipient of the 2025 NS Works Employer Inclusion Award in the Large Business category, presented by Nova Scotia Works and TEAM Work Cooperative.

The Nova Scotia Works Employer Inclusion Awards celebrate businesses that lead the way in fostering inclusive and diverse workplaces and highlights the efforts of employers across the province who go above and beyond to create equitable spaces. These businesses demonstrate a commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Accessibility through their hiring, onboarding, or retention practices.

The awards were announced at the Ability to Rise Event on December 3, 2025 in Halifax.

As one of Atlantic Canada’s largest social enterprises, New Dawn is deeply committed to creating environments where people feel seen, heard, and valued. From barrier-reducing HR practices and newcomer supports to accessible spaces like the Rick Hansen Foundation–certified Eltuek Arts Centre, we continue to invest in a workplace where every voice matters and every employee has the opportunity to grow.

“Their dedication to equity, accessibility, and community impact makes them a shining example for organizations across the province,” said Nova Scotia Works and TEAM Work Cooperative.

We’re proud to be recognized for our dedication to equity, accessibility, and community impact, and we remain committed to helping build a more inclusive and welcoming Nova Scotia.
