Good Food Bus on temporary hiatus

Pause in community markets this year is necessary for the long-term success and growth of our program.

Dear Good Food Bus Community,

We come to you today with a bittersweet announcement – The Good Food Bus will be taking a break from our regular community markets this year.

We want you to know that this decision hasn’t been made lightly, especially after our unexpected hiatus last season due to the delays that came with the refrigeration installation project. We understand how much The Good Food Bus means to our community, and we deeply value our role in bringing good food around the island. However, this break is necessary for the long-term success and growth of our program. This step back will allow us to plan and strategize for the sustainability of the Good Food Bus, ensuring that we can continue serving our communities and expanding our reach for years to come.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to all of you – our loyal customers, partners, and supporters – for your unwavering enthusiasm, patience, and support. Your enthusiasm and support have been a driving force behind the Good Food Bus, and we couldn’t have come this far without you.

While we will miss seeing your smiling faces at our markets during this break, please know that we are doing this with the future of our program in mind. We are excited about the opportunities this pause will bring – it is a chance for us to learn, grow, and come back even stronger.

We will be back with another update when we have one to share, and eagerly anticipate the day when we can drive back into your community with renewed energy and purpose. In the meantime, please continue to support your local food producers and markets and reach out to other community organizations for support when needed. Thank you for being part of the Good Food Bus journey. Together, we are making our communities healthier, happier, and more connected one bite at a time.

With gratitude and anticipation,
